Discovery Zone is a very unique and very exciting program to use with children in any church setting. By becoming a part of a Discovery Zone class, your child will be taught the important truths of the Word of God, that will help them learn and discover just who God is, and what the Bible is all about. By placing a fresh twist on stories found throughout Scripture, your child will understand the core ideas and truths behind each passage they read. Class time involves a wide variety of activities such as singing, crafts, lessons, and games! We invite your whole family to come be a part of this exciting ministry here at New Beginnings Church!

Membership Matters Class

Here at NBC we believe that membership matters.
The Purpose of this class is:

• To share with you exactly what is expected of you as a member.
• To share with you what we believe God’s vision is for future of NBC.
• To share with you what our Doctrinal beliefs are.
• To answer any questions you might have.

We want you to know for sure before you become a member that this is the church God would have you serve in. Our hope is that this class will help you in that decision.  Our prayer is that you find the church God wants for you and your family even if it’s not NBC.

Our Men’s Ministry is committed to:

Woman’s Ministry

Our Women’s Ministry Seeks to:
Enlighten women as to who God is as they discover ways to know Him
Lead women to Christ
Nurture each individual woman as she discovers who she is in Christ.
Cultivate the spiritual life of each Christian woman
Prepare today’s Christian woman to make a difference in her home, her church , and the world.
Equip today’s Christian woman to mobilize, evangelize, and strategize to reach other women with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Edge, our Youth Group for teens in 6-12th grades, on Wednesday Night's will be held at The Connection House (in the Toughekanmon / Avondale, PA area).  The teens have an awesome time together playing games and studying God’s word.  They always have a great time and never actually want to leave.  They are currently going through an in-depth study of scripture which has prompted a lot of great discussion within the group.  The goal is to help the teens understand not only what they believe but why they believe!  The Connection House is located at 8940 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA (House is large white house that is directly next door to Turkey Hill gas station.  There is also a small sign in front of the house that says Jim’s Commercial Service).

Worship and Creative Arts Minisrty

Music
Reaching across musical styles and tastes, we present the good news of Jesus Christ, in a way that relates to a wide spectrum of people. From our children to adults the people of NBC love to worship the Lord through music.

Creative Arts
We love to incorporate different creative arts into our Worship service. We love to use drama, videos, set designs, and many other exciting and new ideas to our services to bring to life the message of the good news.

If God has blessed you with a creative mind or the ability to play an instrument, sing, act, design, or direct then this ministry is for you.

Outreach Ministry

Our Mission is to reach out to our community with the message of God’s grace and love.  We are here to help guide the lost to the light, show the weary where to find rest, and point the cast down to the one who will lift them up.  We are here to be a conduit of God’s love, acceptance and grace.

John 3:16, clearly tells us Jesus’ purpose for living. We also recognize that is our mission as well. We expect our members to seek every opportunity to give a witness whether through word or deed. We promise to partner with you as you pursue Kingdom excellence. If you invite them, we will invest in them. We expect our members to remove any obstacle that would prevent someone from hearing God’s message of love and hope. We will extend loving arms and open hearts at every opportunity!

Celebrate Recovery Ministry

The purpose of New Beginnings Church Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “Eight Recovery Principles.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving the problems in our lives. By working and applying Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually, and become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only Higher Power. The Road to recovery

Realize I'm not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor.

Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
Happy are those who mourn. God will comfort them.

Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.
Happy are the humble.

Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
Happy are the pure in heart.

Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.

Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.
Happy are the merciful.  Happy are the peacemakers.

Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.

Discipleship 101

Do you want to take your walk with God and your Maturity as a follower of Jesus to "a whole new level"? Ever wonder how to identify truth in a world where false teaching about God permeates society?

New Beginnings Church is pleased to offer Discipleship 101. This twenty lesson study is designed to assist you in your walk with God, and to cultivate growth as you mature in your faith. After all, Christianity isn’t just about attending services! Discipleship 101 will help you to learn the deeper aspects of Christian living and be able to identify the truth.
Additionally, we put together a support team consisting of seasoned believers that you can connect to by phone or email. We were never meant to do this “Christian Walk” alone and they are there to answer questions or assist you anyway they are able in this process.
